4 Canton Parks You Need to See

The City of Canton is full of beautiful parks, here are four you’ve got to see!

  1. Etowah River Park

Located near downtown Canton, this dog-friendly community park has a huge open field for playing ball or flying kites, an accessible playground, bathroom facilities, a paved waterfront trail, and even a canoe launch! Around the circular field is a paved multi-use path where you can ride bikes or walk or run. Cross over the Etowah River on a wide bridge to reach the unpaved nature trails, which connect the Etowah River Park to Heritage Park!

  1. Heritage Park

With several loops for walking or jogging on, and grassy earth mounds for climbing on, Heritage Park is a great place for the whole family! Beautiful paved paths are lined with trees, and the park itself is set alongside the Etowah River. This park is connected by a nature trail to Etowah River Park!

  1. Cherokee County Aquatics Center

If you like to swim, or you have kids who enjoy water slides, there’s no need to go all the way to Marietta’s White Water to have some fun in the sun! The Cherokee County Aquatic Center is located right in Canton, and offers two indoor pools including one for lap swimming, and an outdoor pool with slides the kids are sure to love!

  1. Historic Downtown Canton Cannon Park

We couldn’t write a list of parks you need to see in Canton without including the most famous one of all… Cannon Park in the middle of historic downtown Canton! This small park has a gazebo and benches, with beautiful flowers in the spring. In the winter, a giant tree is decorated with lights and the city hosts a lighting ceremony. This little park packs a big punch, bringing beauty and community to the downtown area!
