We’ll meet you on your property or property you’re interested in buying and evaluate it’s “buildability.” Factors discussed in the site evaluation often include driveway location, foundation options (slab, crawlspace or basement), drainage, setbacks, utilities, possible issues/concerns, and many other factors.

Right-Sized Organization

We aren’t a “pickup truck” builder that does 3-4 houses a year. Nor are we a giant company building 100’s of homes. We build a dozen or so custom homes each year. We believe we are the ideal size to deliver a consistent, enjoyable building process to our customers.

Communication

Someone will always answer your call! Our office is staffed Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It’s important to always be able to get in touch with your builder.

Our internal communication is first-rate! We use mobile apps, the cloud, and a private website to insure our team and subcontractors always have the info they need.

Quality

We have developed our own custom quality assurance (QA) program to insure top quality throughout the build process. We’ve divided the build into 55 specific stages. At each of these stages, we perform any number of quality checks. In all, we have over 4,000 quality checks we’ll perform on your home during construction.

Our team has over 100 years of engineering and building experience. With that much construction knowledge, it’s rare we encounter something none of us have seen before. You can be confident in our ability to build your home no matter what unusual situation may arise.

Education

Dan is a 2nd generation custom home builder with an engineering degree. Rusty has an IT undergraduate degree, an MBA and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). We have utilized these skills to build a well-run company that uses technology, manufacturing principles, and project management best practices to deliver top-quality, custom homes.

Design & Build

A sound house plan is vital to constructing a custom home you’ll love! We’ll work with your designer, or ours, to ensure you end up with a plan that best fits your needs and desires while also keeping you in budget. We will also perform a number of quality checks on your plan to ensure everything is right before we begin to build.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you build for $100/sq. ft.?

The short answer is yes. We’ve recently had a couple houses come in at right around $100/sq. ft., but it’s difficult. You have to have a two story, finish some basement space, and go easy on the quality of finish materials. To give you an idea of how wildly these costs can vary, this past year we’ve built from $100 to $200/sq. ft. If you have a house plan you’re considering, we’d be happy to work up a ballpark estimate for you. Just contact us to get started.
How "buildable" is my property?

Every build site is different. Factors such as soil composition, access to utilities, setbacks, zoning, water runoff, accessibility, etc… can all impact the viability of a piece of land for building a home. Since there are so many factors, it’s best to have us take a look at the property and consult you on it’s “buildability.” We’d happily do that for free. To get started, just contact us.
