Cherokee County City Spotlight – Woodstock

Cherokee County is one of metro Atlanta’s fastest growing areas, and Woodstock is one of the great locations where you might choose to build your custom home.

Once a more rural area, Woodstock has grown significantly over the last decade, while still maintaining it’s charm and nature. With a bustling small downtown area filled with high quality restaurants, entertainment, and small shops, as well as plenty of parks, trails, and farms, Woodstock is a one-of-a-kind north metro city!

Downtown Woodstock is a walkable area with wide sidewalks, beautiful landscaping, a huge amphitheater that plays host to a summer concert series, tons of locally owned (and delicious!) restaurants and cafes, and an unbeatable collection of boutique shops. It’s a great place to spend the day!

Connected to the downtown area is Woodstock’s own Greenprints Trail system, which boasts a wide, paved multi-use path, winding beneath the canopy for miles. Following alongside creeks, you can immerse yourself in nature without even leaving the city! Stop by Woodstock Park with your pup for some playtime, visit the Elm Street Cultural Arts Center, or just enjoy the beautiful nature around you!

Just outside the walkable sidewalks and shops in the historic downtown area, you can find family owned farms like Berry Patch Farms, where you and your family can pick your own blueberries, find pumpkins in the fall, find the perfect Christmas tree, and enjoy a playground and snacks! Or visit one of several horse stables and make memories together horseback riding!

Not only does Woodstock offer wonderful options for fun and family time, it’s also an exceptional place to raise a family. Cherokee County has some of Georgia’s top K-12 schools, and Woodstock is no exception.

Outside of Atlanta rush hour, Woodstock is only about 30 minutes from downtown Atlanta, offering a great option for people who need to live nearby, but don’t want to live there.
